Overview
Our client is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to support production planning and scheduling activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules across multiple product lines, balancing capacity requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and operational priorities.

Analyze production lead times, capacity constraints, and workload requirements to support effective scheduling decisions.

Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure production plans align with business needs.

Monitor production progress and proactively address scheduling challenges, delays, or capacity concerns.

Support the prioritization and expediting of critical orders when necessary.

Maintain accurate scheduling and planning data within enterprise business systems.

Track and communicate production status updates to relevant stakeholders.

Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, efficiency, and overall operational performance.

Assist in balancing workloads across departments to optimize resource utilization and reduce bottlenecks.
Required Skills

High school diploma or technical school education.

At least one year of experience in manufacturing, construction, production planning, scheduling, or a related field.

Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, including percentages, fractions, and decimals.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Basic project coordination and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a construction, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related field.

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.

Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, blueprints, or related documentation.
