Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, code and implement API programs and development.
  • Interface with pre-developed API solutions.
  • Troubleshoot API/interface issues.
  • Unit and system test all development efforts.
  • Web service communication protocols and languages.
  • Follow applicable source-control and change management processes.
  • Participate in software deployments.
  • Participate in interdepartmental project meetings to garner an understanding of requirements and provide development guidance as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Financial Services industry experience a plus.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of common API tools.
  • Web service integration including Rest and Soap.
  • Web development experience.
  • Cloud development and deployment: Azure is a required, AWS is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of how to design API connections between multiple platforms and applications.
  • Coding languages, platforms, and file formats including; C#, .NET framework, Javascript, Node.js/Express, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS; GraphQL and Ruby on Rails are pluses.
  • API orchestration.
  • DevOps, building CI/CD pipeline, source control systems specifically Github.
  • Test Automation; TDD a plus.
  • Visual Studio IDE including debugging, and solution setup with repositories, Postman, Azure, SQL Server/SQL Management Studio, IIS.
  • Entity Framework, MVC, signalR/Ajax, Webhook.
