The Sr. Product Owner, My Supporter Account will focus on the strategic and operational direction of our logged-in account experience. This new product space envisions not only empowering supporters with foundational capabilities to manage their relationship with our organization, but also serves as the gateway to surfacing relevant opportunities that strengthen their support, engagement, and impact.

This product is delivered in partnership with an internal development team working in 2-week sprint cycles. With more than 100,000 users (and growing daily) it provides an exciting mix of scale and opportunity for a product leader looking to transform what it means to engage with one of the nation’s largest healthcare charities.

By leading data-driven prioritization of new features, as well as researching future opportunities, you will be accountable for advancing My Supporter Account to reach a broader audience, provide deeper engagement opportunities, and make it easier to manage your relationship with the organization.

This position will work with internal and external teams specializing in technology, content creation, donor research, design, and more to understand audience needs, build & prioritize audience-led hypotheses and bring them to market.

A passion for understanding how to deliver for audiences with complex local and national brand interactions, and experience in delivering consumer-facing product at scale are a must.


• Partners with Executive Champion to establish the vision and direction for digital fundraising products by employing user centered design and/or design thinking to bring world-class digital experiences to market. Ensures product quality though iterative design and usability testing.

• Gains an understanding of the donor experience, identifies and fills product gaps and generates new ideas that grow revenue, improve donor experience and drive engagement.

• Demonstrates strong business leadership, technology acumen, and an ability to provide the appropriately influence within the product team, and direct business stakeholders.

• Leverages market intelligence, analytics, insights, donor research, business unit objectives and stakeholder feedback to inform product backlog, negotiate, prioritize and coordinate features for each release.

• With limited oversight, plans, socializes and implements product strategy and development of a 1-2 year roadmap; including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the organization’s Strategic Plan.

• Responsible for priority of product roadmap items, and user stories. Ensures user stories are clear, appropriately sized, and acceptance criteria is valid.

• Works with Digital Strategy team and other stakeholders to understand and validate business strategy and vision, to ensure approach will appropriately meet customer needs

• Manages stakeholder expectations through regular communication, roadmap reviews, product demos and feedback sessions with limited support from management.

• Represents the business and customer with the product team and provides guidance as required to ensure team is cohesive, progress is sustained and project goals are fulfilled. Serves as direct representative of the business with delivery teams, representing/reinforcing the customers' perspective throughout the product realization cycle.

• Defines, implements, and evaluates hypothesis driven test plans based on business goals and donor insights.

• Uses agile methodologies to determine minimum viable product and follows an iterative approach to add features based on testing, user analysis and feedback.

• Prepares status and release updates for agile team, leadership, and business stakeholders.

• Responds to internal business needs and works with management team to evaluate new software application vendors that are related to product specialty.

• Uses technical and business knowledge to determine Digital’s capability to deliver new software application products as well as enhancements to existing products.



• Knowledge of both business and technical disciplines with the ability to view needs from an enterprise perspective.

• Familiar with technical software delivery methodologies (i.e. Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, etc), process engineering, change management practices or business management methodologies

• Strong communications skills and experience communicating effectively with diverse audiences, translating between business requests and technical needs. Able to facilitate and resolve disagreements over scope, design and requirements with limited support.

• Experience effectively leading and collaborating with, a cross-functional team of user experience partners, designers, business analysts, developers, testers and others to develop, execute and release in alignment with priorities.

• Strong understanding of current technology offerings and the ability to stay current with emerging digital trends such as: search tools, search providers, web analytics, content management systems, fundraising applications, ecommerce and multimedia tools.

• Has a strong understanding of testing methodologies and their ability to enhance products.

• Must be results-driven with a proven record of completing work in a fast-paced environment.

• Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, Visio, etc.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with rapidly changing technology.

• Experience with analytics software such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.

• Requires knowledge ordinarily acquired through a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of digital campaign management, product management or information technology experience.
