PMO Analyst
Location: Remote or Memphis, TN (Hybrid Onsite)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced PMO Analyst to support enterprise-level project and portfolio delivery within a dynamic IT environment. This role plays a critical part in coordinating planning, budgeting, governance, reporting, and portfolio oversight to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to organizational strategy.

The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, portfolio governance experience, and the ability to partner with executive leadership while driving process maturity across a growing PMO function.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Governance

  • Lead evaluation, prioritization, and sequencing of initiatives to align with organizational objectives

  • Maintain portfolio governance processes including intake, scoring, approvals, and reporting

  • Facilitate executive steering meetings and deliver decision-ready portfolio insights

Program & Project Oversight

  • Oversee a portfolio of medium- to large-scale technology and business initiatives

  • Monitor scope, schedule, budget, quality, and outcomes across multiple projects

  • Identify cross-project dependencies, risks, and constraints and coordinate mitigation efforts

  • Provide coaching and guidance to project managers on methodology and best practices

Executive Reporting & Communication

  • Develop and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level status reports

  • Provide transparent communication on risks, issues, scope changes, and key decisions

  • Serve as a liaison between delivery teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership

PMO Process & Capability Maturity

  • Enhance PMO methodologies, templates, and standards across Agile, hybrid, and waterfall environments

  • Support change management initiatives related to project and portfolio operations

  • Drive continuous improvement in estimating practices, delivery quality, and governance controls

Financial & Budget Management

  • Support portfolio-level budgeting, funding approvals, forecasts, and variance analysis

  • Contribute to business case development and ROI analysis

  • Monitor capital and operational budget performance across initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, engineering, or related field

  • 5–7+ years of project or program management experience in a mid-size or large organization

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs or multi-project portfolios

  • Strong knowledge of project and portfolio management frameworks including PMBOK and Agile methodologies

  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis within IT portfolios

  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or other PPM platforms

  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field

  • PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certifications

  • ITIL, Prosci, or other change management credentials

  • Experience in hybrid delivery environments combining Agile and traditional methodologies
