Position: Data Engineer (Azure Cloud Focus)

We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing IT team supporting a wide range of business operations across the United States. This role offers the opportunity to design and build modern data pipelines and analytics solutions in a cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data ingestion, transformation, optimization, and building scalable solutions to support business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related services.

• Perform data transformations using data flows and compute services within Azure.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL processes for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

• Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Write and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for data extraction and reporting.

• Assist in migrating data workflows and processes into Microsoft Fabric for enhanced data management.

• Utilize Python, PySpark, or other programming languages for data engineering tasks.

• Integrate systems and automate workflows using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Storage, and REST APIs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a similar technical role.

• Proficient in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Analytics, and SQL Server.

• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and/or Scala.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a strong plus.

• Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL best practices, and parallel processing.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Storage solutions, and integration with REST APIs.

• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
