Master Scheduler
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to support a leading global manufacturer at their North Mississippi operations center. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring alignment with customer demand, production capacity, and supply chain capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong ERP expertise (SAP strongly preferred), excellent coordination skills, and a proven ability to drive efficiency across manufacturing scheduling processes.
Responsibilities

Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to balance customer demand with available capacity.

Establish and communicate reliable promise dates for product deliveries.

Lead scheduling activities to ensure accurate information flows across material planning and capacity management.

Facilitate monthly S&OP supply meetings, reviewing service levels, capacity, labor requirements, supply chain planning, and resource allocation.

Partner daily with production, procurement, shipping, and customer service to identify constraints and implement solutions.

Support customer service teams in addressing special scheduling requirements.

Provide clear communication of plans to manufacturing and supply chain leadership.

Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and implement best practices.

Track and analyze scheduling metrics and adherence to production plans.

Translate the MPS into takt time requirements and balance workloads across manufacturing cells.

Manage and guide the activities of Schedulers, including conducting performance reviews.

Proactively identify and resolve potential scheduling challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related field; or 2–3 years of relevant scheduling/manufacturing experience.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP proficiency strongly preferred.

Solid understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and supply chain management.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and influence scheduling outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications

APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).

Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
