We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our healthcare-related client in a hybrid-schedule role based in Pittsburgh, PA.

This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who has actually owned production flat-file integrations—not just general ETL or backend development. The work includes both ingesting external partner files into internal systems and generating outbound files that must meet exact partner specifications.

The core stack is C#, T-SQL and SSIS. We need someone who can build and support reliable file-processing solutions, strengthen validation and reconciliation, improve monitoring and failure recovery, and establish repeatable testing across dev/test/staging before changes reach production.

Just as important, this person will help evaluate how the current processes should evolve. We’re looking for practical modernization ideas—potentially involving Azure Data Factory or other tools—from someone who understands that modernization begins with business requirements, reliability, testability, and risk.

Strong candidates will bring:

  • 7+ years of related software-engineering experience

  • Hands-on production SSIS development

  • Strong T-SQL and C# development

  • Direct experience with inbound and/or outbound flat-file integrations

  • Full-SDLC, lower-environment, testing, and deployment discipline

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Experience with healthcare or another regulated industry, SFTP/PGP, HIPAA, Azure Data Factory, and Azure DevOps is a plus.

If you’ve built this kind of integration environment and have thoughtful ideas for making it more reliable, maintainable, and modern, I’d like to talk with you.
