Senior Business Central Consultant – ERP Project Lead

Location: On-site in either Memphis, TN or Carson City, NV

Overview
A confidential manufacturing organization is seeking a seasoned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant with strong Production expertise to lead ERP initiatives and provide ongoing functional support. The ideal candidate is hands-on with Business Central (formerly NAV), understands end-to-end manufacturing processes, and can independently drive implementations, optimizations, and user adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle ERP projects—from requirements and design through testing, go-live, and stabilization.

• Provide expert functional support for the Production area and solid coverage across Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, and related modules.

• Diagnose and resolve system issues; document solutions and maintain process/user guides.

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline manufacturing workflows and maximize ERP capabilities.

• Manage project plans, schedules, resources, and stakeholder communications; guide change management and training efforts.

• Configure and support third-party manufacturing add-ons for Business Central (e.g., Insight Works tools such as Configurator, Shop Floor Insight, Inventory Insight) and ensure smooth integrations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV in a manufacturing environment.

• Deep knowledge of Production (planning, BOMs, routings, shop floor control, capacity planning) and strong functional understanding of adjacent modules.

• Proven track record leading ERP implementations, upgrades, or optimizations in manufacturing settings.

• Practical experience with Business Central manufacturing extensions/add-ons (e.g., Insight Works), including configuration and user support.

• Excellent troubleshooting, process improvement, and documentation skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Microsoft certification for Dynamics 365 Business Central (Production or related).

• Exposure to broader supply chain/manufacturing execution concepts and best practices.
