Network Engineer
Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network infrastructure across data, voice, video, and wireless environments. This role focuses on ensuring network stability, performance, and scalability while leveraging modern automation tools and best practices. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise in Cisco networking, firewall management, load balancing, and network monitoring within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
• Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
• Manage firewall environments and centralized policy configurations
• Support load balancing solutions including advanced traffic management and rule configuration
• Leverage automation tools and scripting to streamline network operations and reporting
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and processes
• Perform capacity planning, performance testing, and proactive monitoring
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex issues
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve network performance and security
• Provide reporting and insights on network performance to leadership
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
• Strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching
• Experience managing enterprise firewall platforms
• Hands-on experience with load balancing technologies and traffic management
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting (such as Python or YAML)
• Familiarity with network monitoring and performance tools
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, Network+, or Security+
• Experience with cloud networking and SD-WAN technologies
• Background working in large-scale enterprise environments
